Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Herbert and his siblings were one of two litters rescued from CACC in Chicago. Born in late April, Herbert is an all black male, and is the biggest, but also the cuddliest, of the bunch! He is the very first who learned to purr and is a big fat ham. If you are petting another kitten, Herbert will come up and rub against your hand until you pet him, too. Scratches under the chin are the way to his heart, and he loves to sit in your lap to be held and kissed. When that happens, there is no end to his purr and purr and purr.
Herbert is also an escape artist, and is the only kitten who knows how to jump over the pet gate, and break out of the bathroom they live in. He's very calm and curious, but when he starts to get excited and play, he pounces and jumps like a jumping bean. He looks so silly! He loves all of his toys, especially the feathery fishing rod one!
Currently in a loving foster home, Herbert can be adopted with one of his siblings, (Ollie, Richie, and Lennie); with another young kitten in our care, or into your home with a cat under five years old for him to play with. Approved applicants may schedule a meet n greet with any of our animals in foster care.
