Rose's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Rose's Story...
Rose is approximately 7-year old female Rottweiler/Husky mix and weighs around 50 lbs. Rose was found abandoned in the country. She is very sweet but can be shy on first meeting.

Rose does very well with other dogs, remaining very calm at an adoption event, even with dogs that barked in her face, she just walked away. She seems to crave human interaction and not overly playful, so she would do fine as an only dog and requires moderate exercise. We have not had her around children or cats, so not sure about her behavior with either.

Rose walks well on a leash and is fine in a crate. Most likely she would be fine not crated but we suggest crating until you are sure. May need assistance with house-training although she doesn't mess in her kennel in boarding, even for extended times. We just haven't had her in a home yet to be confident she's house-trained.

She will do well in a home with lots of love. She doesn't need a very active home as she is older and would do fine laying around during the day although I'm sure she'd enjoy a stroll through the neighborhood She will need a stockade fence.

Rose is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and just received a dental on 7-6-17.

If you can foster or would like to adopt Rose, please contact Kim at kvaleriovilla@cox.net or Denise at denise@foreveryoursokc.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose, a Oklahoma City Rottweiler/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Husky for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Rottweiler/Husky dog from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Husky breeders who help with Rottweiler/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
