Piper's Story...
Meet Piper... This beautiful girl came to us from a very bad situation. She was pregnant when she came into our care and delivered 2 pups not long after. Unfortunately, due to the neglect Piper faced while pregnant her babies were premature and even with supplementing them with a bottle around the clock they were just to small to survive. Poor Piper has been grieving the loss of her little ones and needs a home of her own to give her the extra special attention this girl deserves. She's truly a great dog. Gets along with all the dogs in her foster home. She is house trained and will use a doggy door. Piper is around 3 years old and 10 lbs. She's utd, hw tested and will be spayed on 7/19/17! Please consider opening your home up to this very special girl who has had it tough but still has a wonderful spirit and lots of love to share with her very own family!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Grand Bay Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
