found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
She is a very special puppy and will need a very special adopter, you see Little Cocoa appears to have been born blind, she went to see a specialist and we will run more tests, but she does not seem to have any vision whatsoever. She's never know what it's like to see, and she's doing great navigating with her sense of smell and hearing. She is a sweet happy puppy who will need a very special adopter.
We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover, so you know everything there is to know before finalizing the adoption.
Our adoption fee is $225 for puppies under 6 months old, paid when you pick your puppy up. They will be up to date on vaccinations as of that time, but they'll need additional boosters that is your responsibility. We wait until 6 months of age to spay/neuter puppies, because getting them fixed too early can cause more medical problems long term. What we do is called a provisional adoption which means you can take the puppy home at 8 weeks and assume all vaccines and vetting, but we don't actually finalize the adoption until they are spayed/neutered, microchipped and given their rabies at 6 months. You can get a free spay/neuter at First Coast No More Homeless Pets, or you're welcome to go to the vet of your choice at your own expense. Once that is done, then we finalize the adoption and everything is official.
Adoption Fees for dogs/puppies 6 months old or older: $150
This includes vetting, UTD Vaccinations, microchip and spay or neuter
We ask that you fill out an adoption application before you meet our animals. You can download it here: http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt
