IDGSR WELCOMES SHIBA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Shiba is an approx. 5 yr. old female German Shepherd/Black Lab mix (we think). She's a big girl over 80 lbs. Shiba is very sweet and lovey dovey and is glued to your side. She's been pack introduced with several other dogs at the rescue and does fine, however she's a selfish Wench and wants you all to herself! She's good in the home, crate trained (not a necessity for her) and is a great walking companion and would do best with an older couple or person looking for an easy going companion. Shiba is a beautiful girl. Before coming to the rescue, she spent her whole life - 5 years - chained to a tree. It appears that she had multiple litters of puppies during that time but she is spayed now. Despite the horrible life that her previous owner gave her, she's so sweet and loving and would love to share your home with you.

PLEASE READ. Regarding the application processing fee: IDGSR requires that all applicants submit a $20 non-refundable application processing fee. Please note that submitting an application and fee does not guarantee that you will be approved or guarantee the adoption of any specific dog, since that dog may have other applications being considered.
Each dog's adoption fee varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (PUPPY
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (YOUNG & ADULT)
$200 for any dog 7 years (ADULT SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, monthly preventative, and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
