The Littlest Angels - Small, Bonded Seniors Need New Home
Dixie and Marlie have found themselves in need of a new home for their golden years. The little ones have lived their entire lives as the resident dogs in a local religious community of Sisters. Unfortunately, the Sisters have been relocated out-of-state, and were unable to keep their beloved pups. So until recently, Dixie and Marlie have lived a very charmed life with constant love, attention, and training from the resident Sisters.
Dixie, a spayed female Rat Terrier is 12 yrs. and her companion Marlie is a toy Australian Shepherd, neutered male, 11 yrs. old. Both are small dogs and weight about 13 lbs. They have wonderful house manners and they love to be together and with their people. They are well trained, beautifully behaved in the home, and are accustomed to having companionship all day since the Sisters were around the convent most of the time. Of course, they will need to warm up to new people.
Dixie is friendly and loving and loves everyone. Marlie is a very dedicated, affectionate, faithful and loving boy, and an industrious pup. He always finds "work" for himself to do and is very faithful in doing it. Marlie takes very seriously the herding characteristic of his breed. For that reason, a home without children will be best.
In fact, both Dixie and Marlie fit the characteristics of their breeds quite nicely. They are intelligent little dogs, and learn quickly. Both are UTD on vaccinations, recent dentals, and are in good health. Now they are ready for their new forever home. Their ideal home would have someone at home most of the time, and would enjoy teaching Marlie more tricks.
A home visit will be conducted.

Our adoption fee is $300 for a puppy and $250 for an adult dog. The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter, and a certificate for a free wellness exam with a PBJ-collaborating veterinarian.
