Oliver Wood's Story...
Hey can you help me find Platform 9 and 3 quarters? I’m so excited to go to Dogwarts school of Pupcraft and Fetchery. But what I would really like is to have a family help me learn everything I will need to know to become the greatest dog Dogwarts has ever seen. Maybe you could work some magic and bring me home with you! I’ll be happy to live with any other magical creatures in your family, other dogs, cats, and children for example. With a couple flicks of your wand and some training, I know I can grow up to be a great dog. Get your floo powder, hop on your broom, or jump in your magical flying car and head on over to family dogs to pick me up!

*My adopter must live within a reasonable distance of the Portland Metro area, and must be able to accommodate prescheduled veterinary appointments*.

12 weeks old-19lbs. My adoption fee is $300 and includes microchip & registration, spay/neuter, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver Wood, a Portland Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
