Facts about Lilah

  • Breed: Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Lilah is a 10 yr old poodle mix that was found tied to a tree on a cemetery in Wasco. Her rope she was tied to was long enough to allow her to walk into the middle of the street but not get far enough to walk across, and she unfortunately was hit by a car 😭😡
She came to me with her pelvis broken in 3 places! She was so depressed, she would not even look at me. She had embedded foxtails, fleas and ticks and rotting teeth (which a few had to be pulled).
After weeks of rehab and water therapy, she is now walking normal, running in fact! She plays with 2-3 yr old furry friends and she wags her tail constantly!
She is crate trained and house trained! She doesn't run off and sticks around the front yard while I drink coffee in the mornings. She loves the kiddie pool and doesn't mind swimming while you are holding her up a little. She loves to cuddle and sleep on your lap and in your bed, but still doesn't mind sleeping in her crate or on a doggie bed. She LOVES children!!! Loves them!! There was a special needs girl here and she latched on quickly to her. She is vaccinated and chipped and will be spayed next week.
If you are interested in this puppy like senior, please email me at
Will you be her family for the rest of her remaining years ?

About Mutts and Runts Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Kern County has an epidemic of stray animals caused by careless backyard breeders and people who shop and do not adopt. These breeders cause a chain reaction to the amount of stray animals that Kern County has. What happens to these puppies that are bred by illegal backyard breeding are A. the puppies aren't sold or sold to good families and then tossed to the streets and B. The puppies are sold, but, the person(s) Purchasing these puppies cannot afford to spay or neuter due to high vet fees, then causing the dog to become pregnant or impregnate another stray dog and therefore creating 8 or more puppies that rescues or city shelters have to help. These stray animals become sick, injured or attacked by other dogs. Most people are to afraid or cannot afford to take care of medical costs on these stray animals that are seen in the streets every second of the day. Mutts and Runts would like to raise funds for these emergency medical treatments. Additionally, she has decided to become a fundraiser for independent rescuers and assist them with helping more dogs, rather than building a rescue herself where there are limitations. Mutts an Runts wants to make an impact and helping independent rescuers, the ones that take the dogs off the streets, the ones that go out looking night and day for lost dogs, or spending countless hours trying to catch dogs to get them off the streets, those independent rescuers are vital to our community, and they need help. This in turn will automatically help established rescues obtain more fosters, bigger connections and increase unity. If capable, Mutts and Runts will vet and adopt out dogs. Currently, we have about 7 dogs ready for adoption.
