Facts about Ruthie

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brindle - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Meet Ruthie! She is around 4 yrs old and has a really rough year so far. We believe she may have been hit by a car sometime in the spring and does still have a bit of a limp in her rear leg. When no one claimed her she ended up at the shelter scared by all the noise and commotion so she was overlooked. Ruthie is a sweet girl who just wants to be loved and give love. She needs a home to call her own!

Ruthie is housebroken and gets along with other dogs. She would do best with older children, only as she does not know her own size and strength. Cats are a bit too interesting for Miss Ruthie, while she may be fine with a dog friendly cat we do recommend a home without cats. Ruthie LOVES people and is a real cuddler. She is an expert kisser! Do you think Ruthie may be a good fit for you?

Meet-and-greets are available by appointment only. Upcoming adoption events will be posted as they are scheduled.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting an animal from Ruff House Animal Rescue, please fill out a Pre-Adoption Application at www.rhar.org. Once the application is reviewed, a representative will contact you to set up a home-check and meet-and-greet with the animal; if you have existing pets in the home, multiple meet-and-greets may be required to determine if the potential animal is a good fit. If everything goes well with the application and meet-and-greet, you will have the option to start a two-week (no-fault) trial adoption. An Adoption Contract will be filled out and adopters will be provided with all necessary paperwork for their new pet.
