My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoebe is an easy-going, fun-loving yellow lab. She loves to play, is great with other dogs & kids and she's super smart. Phoebe is pretty low-key but she loves people and will do just about anything for a belly rub.

Phoebe came to Mazie's Mission with major allergies and hip dysplasia. After being allergy tested, we're now able to manage her allergies by controlling her access to food and giving her a monthly shot. Turns out Phoebe is highly allergic to fish (who knew!) so she only eats Science Diet Perfect Weight and we limit her access to other dog food, treats & people food. She has been known to counter surf, so watch out!

Phoebe underwent FHO hip surgery in January 2017 and her worse hip was repaired at that time. It's been a long road to recovery as she fought a major infection and went to rehab for almost 3 months, but she is back to her playful self, out of pain and feeling good!

Phoebe is crate trained, house broken and great with other dogs and children. She's spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Her new owner will need to arrange for her to receive a monthly allergy shot and should watch her untreated hip for any future issues with dysplasia.

Please consider taking this love-bug into your home! She'll be a great addition to any family that has kids or other dogs.
