"OTIS" is a 2 year old mixed breed (Pitty Lan mix) who has the most engaging personality and looks galore! Talk about handsome...this boy tops the list! OTIS is debonaire, charismatic and entertaining. He is an absolute charmer who will swoon you with his personality and charm. OTIS is a total gentleman and will sit and gently shake your hand when offered a treat. He is an excellent listener who responds immediately to his name and simple requests. He does jump from excitement and will need some guidance in that area.

Otis a lean 45lb boy with a stunning coat and engaging eyes. OTIS is house trained and crate trained. He loves car rides and adventures and would be a great hiking companion. OTIS does need a little work on the leash but redirects very easily. He is an excellent snuggler and will curl up right beside you with his arms wrapped around you. (one of his favorite places) Just a real lover....
A very fortunate family will be getting an absolutely wonderful companion in OTIS. He will do well with smaller dogs. Introductions to larger dogs will need proper introductions.

Since we are looking for a perfect transition for OTIS to his new family we are including a FREE IN HOME professional training session.

About Pet Tails Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Pet Tails Rescue was founded by Maureen Cahill in March 2012. We are a a group of volunteers committed to the rescue of dogs in southern states who are located in high kill shelters. The numbers are staggering. One of the shelters that we save our pups from in Atlanta had over a 60% euthanasia rate – over 3800 pups who were never given a chance at life. This is why we have committed to saving these pups and finding them loving homes.
Pet Tails Rescue is a 501c non-profit corporation. We locate and screen adoptive and foster homes for these pups, arrange for all pups to be vetted and arrange transportation to the new adoptive or foster homes. We believe that every dog deserves a chance at life…every dog has a tale to tell and a story to be told. Our goal is to have their stories unfold in the loving home of their new family. If a story is not told it is forgotten. And no life should ever be forgotten.
Pet Tails Rescue is located in Northwood, NH but we search out families looking for that special pup wherever we can find them. Most all of our adoptive homes have been found through social media and with just a photo or two of the pup in need. Just one photo and someone says “that’s my dog, please bring him home to me”. We are conduits. We believe every animal deserves an opportunity to a happy life.

From April 2012 through December 2015 we have rescued over 1600 dogs and cats.

Our Adoption Process...

Once a prospective adoptive family finds a dog they want to adopt they must complete an adoption questionnaire. All references will be checked and interviews are performed. Home checks may likely be performed. We then arrange to have the dog placed in foster care while he/she is fully vetted. Transport is then arranged up to southern NH. We also have foster families located here in NH. Typically the process takes about 2 weeks from the approval of your application for us to get you new family member home. Adoption fees are $425 for dogs and pups and $145 for cats and kittens up to 3 years old and $125 for cats over 3 years old.

Applications can be found on our website at www.pettailsrescue.org
