Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Isaac
Breed: Rat Terrier/Cattle Dog mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Isaac is a 20-pound adult (4-5 years) male Rat Terrier/Cattle Dog mix who came to the shelter totally blind. Even in that scary, loud, unfamiliar place he was sweet and gentle and didn't let the blindness stop him from finding the front of his kennel and standing up waiting to be petted by passerby. Isaac is good with other dogs and sort of uses them to help him find his place and routine. Being blind is one of the worst disabilities for a homeless dog to have, as they are very hard to find adopters for. He will need an adopter committed to leashing every time he is outside unfenced, teaching him the house training in a new place, and being patient as he uses his nose and ears to learn the world. He plays with toys, loves treats, enjoys walks and loves to be held.
Requirements: Patience for a special needs dog, ideally another dog in the home
You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.
