Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fixico is a beautifully colored puppy from a Poodle/Schnauzer mom. Fourteen weeks old as of 8/15, he is short coated, elegant, and while we are not sure what he could be crossed with, he will likely mature 25-30 lbs. Fixico was firstborn and has been raised in rescue from day one. He has a soft and very gentle personality, a snuggly nature where he goes into a very relaxed zen zone, and is an exceptionally strong bonder. He is also terrifically playful. The mother to this litter comes out of a hoarding situation and was scared of the world when first raising her pups, so they didn't get the best first imprint. Fixico has come along nicely, but will greatly benefit from ongoing socialization. He is not always at his most confident heading into new situations, but adjusts quickly. These exposures should be ongoing in his life as he is on a very positive trajectory, but does have a history of being shy and witthdrawn. That is far from the Fixico we know today and we would like to keep it that way.
Raising a puppy takes work, and we appreciate all who understand that :) Fixico is way beyond a diamond in the rough - he is a very bight puppy and exceptionally sweet natured, used to kids, cats and other dogs.
THE RIGHT HOME for Fixico, as he is a sensitive boy, should be quiet and be both well versed and committed to the principles of socialization. He will no do well treated abruptly and should be trained only with positive reinforcement. That said, he is a very social boy who would do well in a variety of family situations, and will mature to be a very loyal and highly trainable dog....he is a personal favorite :)
