My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**applicants must be in a 2 hr driving range from Toronto/Niagara area as we do home visits with the dog in question**

Snickers is an 10 1/2 yr old Maltese/Poodle cross and weighs 15 lbs. He still acts like a puppy and loves to play and is very aware. In fact his foster mom double checked to make sure of his age! He first came to Happy Tails 2 yrs ago when he lost his home when he became over protective towards people after a new baby came into the family. Unfortunately the owner was placed in a nursing home and no one wanted Snickers - again. So the poor guy is back with Happy Tails looking for a FOREVER home for sure this time.

Snickers can be very possessive of his human and will need an experienced owner to work with him on this. We are looking for a one person home that will give this little guy the time and patience he needs.

Snickers does know basic commands and responds to praise very well. He does think that he is supposed to be a security guard and will investigate every noise. Snickers is particular on which dog he will be friends with and in is foster home goes from barking and snarling at one dog to being playful and sweet to another. He loves to go for walks on a leash and play in the backyard - he's a ball chaser for sure: He is a bit anxious in a car but calms down after a bit.
Snickers' adoption fee is $300. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines and dental.
