Dax's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Dax's Story...
He's a very social dog and would do best with a family and another dog in the home. He loves to run and play. He is still very young and very "puppy" so he needs an active and social environment. He needs a fenced in yard where he can run around. We would suggest experienced dog owners as he needs some strong leadership. He was previously in a home where he had little training or guidance, but he is a VERY quick learner. He loves being around people (especially children) and other dogs! He is great on a leash, BUT when he sees other dogs around he gets wild and tries to play. This causes him to bark and pull. This is not uncommon for young large breeds.  He needs someone who is a strong leader.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dax, a Kittery Boxer/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pointer for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Boxer/Pointer dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pointer breeders who help with Boxer/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
