McKayla's Story...
McKayla is a 5 year old German Shepherd mix who is getting another chance at a loving home! She had a family at one point but they could not care for her and took her to the shelter. Her time was almost up when CARE found her and we knew we had to help. She does very good with kids and loves all people. She is already housebroken and well mannered. Her favorite thing is going on walks, She is not a puller and is as calm as can be on a leash. She is looking for a forever home and family to love her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McKayla, a San Antonio German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
