Patrick's Story...
I’m a fine-looking young man who goes by the name of Patrick. I was found wandering around my rescuers’ front yard. They weren’t sure if I belonged to someone – I mean, who wouldn’t be looking for a handsome boy like me? But they decided to offer me some food – I was so hungry, I wolfed down an entire dish, barely stopping to breathe! My new friends lured me into the house with more food, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Then I wandered around the house, meowing. Soon thereafter, I just curled up on the stairs to take a nap! Obviously I’m used to being an indoor cat! I’m a lap cat who loves company. I love to help in the kitchen – my rescuer says that I’m a great help in the kitchen – always one…step…behind…you! I can’t help it – I like food (so keep an eye on your dish!) I’ll make one handsome dinner companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patrick, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
