Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When Stella first came into our rescue from Ansonia Animal Control, we expected she would be a hospice dog - a dog who stays in our rescue for the rest of their life. She was substantially overweight, and x-rays showed that she had severe arthritis in her spine, which made it difficult for her to stand and walk for long distances.
She went to an absolutely amazing foster home, and over time the change has been incredible.
As Stella has lost weight, her mobility has become SO much better. This dog, who had trouble walking, now runs and jumps! She no longer needs pain meds for the arthritis. AND her blood work, which showed at intake that she had high cholesterol, has gone back down to normal!
Recently our vet cleared Stella for surgery and she has had major dental work done. Now that she has recovered from that, she is ready to find a forever home - because our girl Stella is now ADOPTABLE!
She is an adorable min pin mix who does well with other dogs and cats, and will be fine in a home with children 10 years old or older.
At about 10 years old, she doesn't ask much - just to love and be loved, an occasional walk, and someone to play fetch with her - because she LOVES mini tennis balls!
