Hazel's Story...
Hazel is a one year old golden lab. Who is now up to date on shots. She has a sad story but we are hoping to make it a great ending. She was left in a basement for one month after her owners moved out. A neighbor heard her barking that's how she was found. Our rescue took her in. in the beginning she was shy and afraid you could tell she was very sad. Just after a couple days she started to play with our other dogs. She started to let us pet her. She is very loving and you can see how badly she wants love. Hazel needs a family that is understanding that she now has abandonment fears and is not sure if she can trust people. She needs a family that Will show her that they will be there for her and with her for the rest of her life if you feel that you are that family please contact Stacey at No Dogs Left Behind Animal Rescue at 248-881-7924

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Sterling Heights Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
