Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What a beautiful dog inside and out! There was a sadness when I first brought him home that has now left his heart. I am overwhelmed by his progress in personality. I have really grown to love this dog. I want for him to have his own family that will always love him and care for him. He likes to be social, but is happy to lie on his bed and napping and dreaming. When he goes for a walk, I use a reel lead which extends to 20 feet. He likes to lope when he walks. It is very endearing to his character. I love to watch him "power-lope" on his morning and afternoon outings.
His story is not a cheery one. I had to go to this house located two counties east from mine on two different occasions to get dogs and puppies. The first time,' I was told I could have the puppies and the mama dog, but the husky was staying chained in the hot sun with no dog house. I didn't see food or water either. It was one of the hardest rescues I have done. I wanted to take all of the dogs, and all of the children that were living there, too.
I recently received a call from the family of Chekhov's grandmother asking if I could come to get the husky. I called my friend, Bob, and we drove there immediately. The conditions for the family and the dog were deplorable. I don't think they had electricity. Everyone was outside the home. I supposed they went in at night.
I share this story so you will see what I see when I look at him. He was so neglected. Flies had eaten the tops of his ears. It is a daily reminder that humbles me. I can't say anymore.
Chekhov has turned a corner with me. He now will give kisses. He likes to be hugged and petted. He loves to go for walks and to eat treats. He is one sweet and good boy. He rides well in a vehicle. He makes an excellent companion. He has so much love to give. He deserves to have a fantastic, fun-loving family who will wrap their loving arms around him and never let him go
