Tinkerbell's Story...
Just look at our sweet and cute Tinkerbell! Small at only 6 pounds, she could almost fly and spread fairydust. Our Chihuahua mix is only one year old and was surrendered when her former guardian could no longer care for her. Tinkerbell is in a loving foster home where her personality really shines. She loves toys and will wrestle and play with the house dogs and cats! This adorable gal loves to be close to her human, cuddle and quiet. Tinkerbell is a very gentle furball- even during playtime, but may do best in a home without young kids. She is used to being around other dogs. Her foster mom has started house training, and Tinkerbell is working hard on learning a routine. She needs a patient person and a routine that will allow her finish training and be the amazing adult dog she's destined to become. Tinkerbell is spayed (so no unwanted litters for our sweetheart), vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. She's a small dog with a big personality, and is waiting for adoption applications at If you can provide our precious sweetie with all her needs, please submit an application at Tinkerbell may be shy at first meeting, but once she knows you're the one, she will bond with her person quickly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinkerbell, a Evansville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
