My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Captain Morgan.

This chocolate boy is hot stuff! He is our vet's favorite dog!

He's about 2 years old and weighs about 77lbs. He's potty trained too!

Captain Morgan is a pretty calm dog who likes other dogs, he's had some exposure to cats. In one foster home a street cat would drop by. When he was outside and the cat is near The Captain ignores him, but sometimes the cat comes over to eat his food and The Captain barked until he runs away. We can't guarantee he likes cats, but he sure doesn't like them eating his food! Labs take that very seriously you know!

He was good with kids in his foster home. He seems to be good with meeting strangers and walking on a leash and traveling in a car.

The Captain is such a sweet dog. He will turn into your shadow following you wherever you go. He's a very laid back dog. He can be very active at the dog park. Every time his fosters come back home they're greeted with a hug. This baby is a gentle giant. He would be ideal for a family.

In a foster home The Captain was always behind the kids, when one went to bed he would stand there watching, then he'd head to the parent's room and sleep next to their son's crib. Note: Morgan does snore a bit. :)

When you look closely on The Captain's pictures you'll notice one of his eyes looks a little droopy, that's because sadly, something happened to this poor boy's eye prior to Lucky Lab saving him from a shelter. Our vet says he can't see out of that one eye, he suffered some sort of trauma to it and that side of his face. She says he's still a total gem and a family will be oh so lucky to have him. He still functions just fine.

We can have adopters who are serious about adopting him speak to our vet to hear more about his eye situation. We love him anyhow and think he's gorgeous!

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to roll!
