Facts about Misty

  • Breed: Domestic Longhair
  • Color: White (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Misty is our stunning mama cat. She came in with five beautiful kittens. Lollipop and Marshmallow are two of them. Before you call for Misty, please read about her. It's easy to get carried away by her beauty but Misty is not social. She is very peaceful and non aggressive. She currently lives in our foster mom's sun room and she gets along well with all of the other fosters and is no trouble at all. She is in need of a barn community or a special person that will give her lots of time to socialize. She will need about a year to socialize if you are that person and you must make a commitment to do so. Misty also would be happy in a barn community. She will need proper introduction and we will give you instructions on how to successfully make her part of your animals community. Please fill out an application on our website and call or email us. Thanks!

About Hearts United Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Hearts United Cat Rescue is comprised of a group of families united by our passion and dedication to help homeless cats. We do not have a physical shelter, but instead work out of a network of foster homes throughout the central Connecticut area where the fostered cats and kittens are treated like members of the family.

The cats remain in their foster homes until they find their permanent, committed and loving families. While being fostered they learn what it is like to be part of a family.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in private homes and our foster families are flexible and happy to accommodate to your schedule. Since they are private homes, you do need to fill out an application before going for a visit. We have public showings and adoption event at the United Methodist Church in Newington and we are in partnership with the PetSmart in Plainville.
You are invited to our kittens showing this Friday, Aug. 4th at the PetSmart in Plainville. We start at 6:00p.m. Please fill out an application from our website in preparation for the event. Thank you!
PLEASE JOIN US THIS SATURDAY, AUG. 19TH FOR A KITTEN SHOWING AND ADOPTION EVENT AT THE PETSMART IN PLAINVILLE, 278 NEW BRITAIN AVE. PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FROM OUR WEBSITE IN PREPARATION FOR THE EVENT AND IT WILL BE THERE FOR YOU. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE ONE IN THE PAST, LET US KNOW. FOR FASTEST RESPONSE, PLEASE EMAIL. THANK YOU!

Our Adoption Process...

The first step to our adoption process is to fill out our quick and easy online application that is found on our website. From there our adoption counselor will call you to go over it with you and talk about any concerns that you may have.

We collect a tax deductible donation of $100 to offset medical costs that we provide the cats. Those costs include: flea control, internal parasites treatment and age appropriate vaccines. We also provide them with a wellness checkup and testing for FeLV and FIV. We ask for $125 if a kitten is already spayed/neutered. Adults are $100 and are fully vetted. Seniors, special needs and bonded pairs have a reduced donation. We do provide a spay/neuter program for kittens that are too young to be spayed/neutered. The cost of the program is $85.
If you have any questions the fastest way to reach our adoption coordinator is through email. Thank you!
