My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 12-01-08: CC is a 6-1/2 y/o 6.5# yorkie boy - he is being fostered in The Villages, FL. CC has done excellent since he came into rescue only 2 weeks ago - he enjoys walking around the house and loves being in the yard, enjoying the sunshine and smelling everything in sight! He is very, very sweet and will make a wonderful little companion - CC has been neglected his entire life; his hair was so matted that he had to be sedated to cut out all the mats.....but it's beautiful now! He has bright eyes that take in everything, as if seen for the first time. CC lost his remaining 11 teeth when he had his dental, but he will feel sooo much better! He gets along with other dogs, and would do well in the home with a female yorkie of like size and age. He is not housetrained, but his Foster Parents are working with him on this. PLEASE NOTE! Because of CC's history and size, he cannot be adopted into a home with children under the age of 12 y/o. If you have children younger than this, please do not apply.

PLEASE READ B4 YOU SUBMIT ADOPTION APP: It takes a very special adopter to accept and love a precious little one like CC who has lived his entire life in a crate, unsocialized and very, very scared & timid. His nails were very long, his coat matted and his mouth rotten due to neglect.

For those of us who have witnessed the miracle of a frightened dog growing to love and trust, to play with toys for the first time, to walk on grass for the first time, to walk outside and breathe the fresh air of a fall morning - it is one of the most joyful and rewarding experiences of our lives. A little dog that has not previously known these things and who ventures to totally trust a human being in spite of these things is a triumph of the spirit from which we can all learn.

INITIAL BIO 11-15-08: MEET CC ~ he is a 6-1/2 y/o, 6.5# yorkie boy that was surrendered by a breeder who was no longer able to care for him. CC has not had much socialization, and has mostly been crated his entire life. :( He is very sweet, and with a lot of love and attention should turn into a wonderful companion dog who is so deserving of a forever home of his own. Please watch CC's bio for further updates as his Foster Parents get to know him better. CC is being fostered in The Villages, FL. PLEASE NOTE! Because of CC's history and small size, he cannot be adopted into a home with children under the age of 12 y/o. If you have children younger than this, please do not apply. His nails were very long, his coat so matted that he may need to be shaved down, and his mouth rotten - he will most likely loose all remaining teeth. CC stays in the back of the crate for now; the adopters may have to lie on the floor face down with eyes averted to get CC to approach. The adopters must never raise their voice, clap their hands or allow loud noises in the home during this adjustment period - the home environment must be totally non-threatening.
