My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 12-01-08: Travie is an 8 y/o tiny little 3.5# yorkie boy - he is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Travie has come a long way since he came into rescue only 2 weeks ago - he will now come out of his crate when you call his name, although he still crouches down when you pick him up, but once he's secure in your arms, he loves being held. Travie isn't as outgoing as his younger brother CC, and enjoys being held more than he enjoys walking around the house at this point. He does love being in the yard and enjoying the sunshine as long as he can see his 'person'. He is very, very sweet and will make a loyal and wonderful little companion - Travie has been neglected his entire life, but is now enjoying being pampered! He lost 9 teeth when he had his dental, but he will feel sooo much better! He gets along with other dogs, and would do well in a home with a female yorkie of like size and age. He is not housetrained, but his Foster Parents are working with him on this. PLEASE NOTE! Because of Travie's history and size, he cannot be adopted into a home with children under the age of 12 y/o. If you have children younger than this, please do not apply. PLEASE READ B4 YOU SUBMIT ADOPTION APP: It takes a very special adopter to accept and love a precious little one like Travie who has lived his entire life in a crate, unsocialized and very, very scared & timid. His nails were very long, his coat matted and his mouth rotten due to neglect. For those of us who have witnessed the miracle of a frightened dog growing to love and trust, to play with toys for the first time, to walk on grass for the first time, to walk outside and breathe the fresh air of a fall morning - it is one of the most joyful and rewarding experiences of our lives. A little dog that has not previously known these things and who ventures to totally trust a human being in spite of these things is a triumph of the spirit from which we can all learn.

INITIAL BIO 11-15-08: MEET TRAVIE ~ he is a tiny 8 y/o yorkie boy that was surrendered by a breeder who was no longer able to care for him. Travie has not had much socialization, and has mostly been crated his entire life. :( He is very sweet, and with a lot of love and attention should turn into a wonderful companion dog who is so deserving of a forever home of his own. Please watch Travie's bio for further updates as his Foster Parents get to know him better. Travie is being fostered in The Villages, FL.
