My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yogi is a 5 year old neutered male chocolate lab who weighs 92 pounds.

Yogi is a friendly dog who is easy going. He likes to play, he will chase a ball or toy but hasn't started bringing it back yet. He likes being inside after being an outside dog, will go out but after a few minutes wants to come inside where it's cool and hang out with people.

Yogi needed to find a new home since he likes chickens too much, will catch and bring the chickens to owner. He was in the house as a puppy them put outside when he was full grown. Has been in a large pen with a dog house he has the run of the property when they are home. Yogi gets along with their goat, horses and their other dogs. Good with horses (owner has full size horses and miniature horses) He would like an active family that has a yard for him to play in and will give him the attention, training, and exercise he needs. Yogi needs a physical fence.

Kids 10 and up been around several grandchildren but has not lived with any. He loves kids but sometimes knocks them over by accident as he is so large.. Good with other dogs lived with one and liked to play with his sons dogs. No cats will chase them. No chickens, will catch them and bring them back but does not have a soft mouth. Knows sit down and come. Pulls on lead hasn't been on one much better with Easy Walk Harness.

UPDATE: Yogi spent his first night as a foster dog last night. This sweet boy can't wait to find someone to give him love in his forever home. He wants to meet every dog while walking and thinks everyone is his friend. He didn't even react when one dog growled at him, just stood there wagging his tail. He likes walks and has even played with a few toys during his first evening. But enough from me - let Yogi speak for himself (after all, he's smarter than the average lab!):

"I love getting my belly rubbed. Foster dad takes me on lots of walks and then I get to take a nap. I'm looking for someone to give me lots of love and play with me outside. I'm a total sweetheart with a big block head."
