Lilac's Story...
Lilac was born into rescue on June 14th, 2008, so she is now about 5 months. Her Australian Shepherd mom is a beautiful sweet dog and she is shown in one of the pictures. Lilac is everything you'd want in a big puppy. She is very affectionate and well socialized with other dogs and cats. Lilac is a healthy furry ball of FUN. She has plenty of energy for romps and after exercise she loves to cuddle and be close to her humans.
Lilac is crate trained and her foster family is working on potty training. Her training will need to continue in her new home.

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella. They are on monthly Heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

Please apply today to talk to this sweetie's foster family to arrange a meeting. Thanks. www.rescueAhart.org .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilac, a Cincinnati Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
