Pepper's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Pepper's Story...
Pepper is a 1 yr old, 80lb full blooded, "papered" black Labrador. She was bred at a breeder to become a hunting dog, but sadly Pepper had no interest in hunting or killing birds. She just wants to play and be loved and live indoors as someone's pet, not live her life outside in a concrete kennel. Because she refuses to hunt, the breeder was going to dump her at a high kill shelter here in GA. Pepper is sweet, slightly shy at first, submissive and loves every dog she meets! She has not been tested with cats.

Our teens/young adults seem to get passed over which is so heartbreaking. Adopters either want a puppy or an older adult, but Pepper will prove a teen/young adult is just perfect. They are already past the chewing phase but still very much playful pups who are still a blank slate as far as temperament and training them to be the way you want them to be!

Calmer than a hyper puppy, more playful than a lazy adult, Pepper gets along with every dog she meets! She is fully vetted and available to arrive this Sat July 29nd.

Our dogs are fully vetted - spayed/neutered, rabies, all shots, and microchip!

We are a Georgia based rescue so all of our dogs are located in Georgia in loving foster homes. We have our own transport which brings adopted dogs North every Saturday. Our puppies go very fast, so if you are serious please fill out an application right away so you are not disappointed. You do not have a chance to meet these dogs prior to adopting. We do stop in 10 different cities from the MA border in CT to NJ & PA.

Please fill out an application at www.sosrescuega.org/application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Southbury Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Southbury, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Southbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
