  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Hello! My name is Jessie and I am looking for someone who is willing to love me even though I have a medical condition. I was born May 6th of this year and am very lucky to be alive. At the end of June, I contracted the Panleukopenia Virus. My brother Zach and I survived but it has left me with the condition Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This condition is non-progressive, meaning it will not worsen with time, and should not impact my life span. It is also not transmittable to any other animals. It is a condition that causes me to have a head bob, limb tremors that can be aggravated by movement or eating and that disappear while I am sleeping, unsteadiness or clumsiness with a wide-based stance, and leaves me less able to judge distance.

Despite all I have been though, I have a remarkable sprit. I am extremely sweet and love people. I love to be held and cuddled and truly enjoy the company of humans. I love to play with toys and have a wonderful sense of adventure. I am curious about everything and do not let my disability slow me down. I play with all of the other foster cats as well as my foster family’s dogs. I get along with everyone and everything but given the fact I do have a disability, I would not do well in a house with young children or animals that might pick on me. I would do much better in a quiet home with perhaps another kitten or cat that is close to my age. I also need to be in a single level home or in a hopme with a family that is willing to have gates to the stairs. Since I do not have good balance stairs and I do not get along and they can really hurt me if I were to take a fall down them. If you think you can provide such a home and are willing to love a cat like me and give me the forever home I deserve, please adopt me.

I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, am dewormed, microchipped, and have been treated with Revolution.

To adopt me, please download & complete the adoption application that can be found at www.purrsandwhiskers.org/adopt.html and return it to info@purrsandwhiskers.org.

About Purrs & Whiskers, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Purrs & Whiskers, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving Stafford, Virginia and its surrounding areas whose mission is to employ the best practices of the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) philosophy and for those deemed adoptable, we provide temporary foster care while actively seeking a loving permanent living situation. This is accomplished by providing compassion, daily nourishment, and basic wellness care for both individual cats, as well as colonies of free-roaming, homeless cats living outdoors. When feasible, we will collaborate with local shelters in an effort to relieve over-crowding by identifying and adopting out shelter cats into appropriate, permanent living situations.
