Hi, my name is Carolyn (805) 531-0413. There's a story on Charro and I hope this will help. This 1 1/2 year old beautiful 63 lbs. boy lived on a ranch where his owners didn't care for him much, leaving him on the streets to fend for himself. When my daughter came across him, she found that he was emaciated, mistreated, and scared. She would bring him food and water and play with him with her own dog, daily. One day, she found that animal control got a hold of him where Charro found himself locked up at Ventura County Animal Shelter. We kept track on him and sure enough he was due to be euthanized on Halloween. We rushed out to save him! He has been with us ever since. Here is the kicker,,, animal control has us on their radar. They came to our house and told us that we have over the limit on dogs and that we have two weeks to rid of him. We've been hiding him here ever since. We've learned a lot about Charro's personality since he have been with us. He is the most loyal, loving, affectionate, sweet, well-behaved doggy. He never barks and gives back more love than he receives. He has had a very rough life and deserves better. He is quiet and content and would enjoy just spending quality time with his owner. He has never shown aggression and is great with other dogs and cats. Charro is neutered and has all of his shots. When we took him to the vet to have a well check, all of the people there were in awe with how beautiful he is. Charro is very healthy; has great teeth and gums as well! I'm not sure what kind of dog he is but the animal shelter posted him as a Harrier mix. The vet told me that he definitely has hound in him. Also, his tail is docked.
