My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Chipper - I'm the one on the left. The other beautiful bird in the picture is Val, short for Valentine, since she was born on Valentine's Day. She is my daughter! I am a Sun Conure and my age is 22, obviously female :) That is a great age for we Sun Conures. Val is 19 and is a mix Sun/Nanday Conure. We both have some good years ahead of us if we are provided with a loving home and a healthy diet.
I am very easy going, but I really do need to get to know you first. Remember it is little scary for both of us to be in a new home. It takes time for us to trust you. Now, Val here, is very timid (too timid to take a solo picture) and will bite you. This is because she is so scared, poor dear. I try to let her know, by my actions, that it will be okay. But there again, you have to give her time and not rush her. It may be that a treat or two may make us more comfortable when you are trying to earn our trust. Everyone loves those things called "treats". Good things take time and by letting her feel safe, well, it will just make for a happier Val.
Our foster Mommy is feeding us a mix of pellets and seeds. She is trying to wean us off of the seeds so that we just eat pellets. This takes time, too and she is just slowly giving us more pellets and less seed. She is also going to start introducing us to these foods called veggies and fruits. I'm told they are very good for our diets and help keep us healthy. (please remember no avocado) Just like you humans, the healthier our diet the longer we can live.
Both of us are not very noisy and that is a plus!! We *must* be adopted together as we have never been apart and would be heartbroken if separated.. Val and I are looking for our permanent home to live out our golden years - we would make such awesome friends for you. So if you have the time and patience to give us the attention and love that we need then please fill out an adoption application and start the process. I know you won't be sorry. Val knows it too, she just told me so!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird's cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
