My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ZANNY

Zanny is a female Chinese Crested and possibly Cairn Terrier mix and around 1.5 years old. Her tummy markings look like that of a Crested and her face shape too. Zanny came to us from a hoarding situation and has some emotional trauma. Like so many of the others from this case of 40 dogs, she was skittish of human contact and easily frightened. We have had her several months and she has progressed but still needs patience, understanding and some extra TLC. She will not be comfortable, at least initially, in a household with a lot of bustle. Zanny is not comfortable with children or large dogs. She does not like to ride in cars and being outdoors in new situations also frightens her. However, Zanny is a very loving and very loyal companion, who loves to sit and cuddle. Zanny is not demanding and does like to be near her human. She does not tolerate separation well, so a stay at home person is her best match. Zanny is potty trained and weighs a little less than 14 pounds. Anyone who is patient and kind and willing to let her come to love them on her own terms and time schedule will be infinitely rewarded with a kind, loving pet. If you would like to make Zanny a part of your family, please complete an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include her name at the top.
