My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy Howdy Howdy!!!! How is everyone doing today? Well, please take some time and read about me, Beaker, and my best friend, Naonni. We are both Bare eyed Cockatoos and very bonded to each other, so we MUST be adopted together. We are like 2 peas in a pod. My friend Naonni is 7 years old and I'm 6. We had this test called a DNA done and yep we are both males. Just to let you know, that our life span is up to 60 years of age. We still have lots of years in front of us to live and make someone happy. Our breed is also known for being fun, goofy and quite entertaining.

I, Beaker, prefer human men and Naonni prefers human women. Our foster Mommy says that we will go to anyone after we get to know you, though. It will take some time for us to feel comfortable and at ease in our new forever home. Please show us lots of patience and love and we will become your best "Buds".

We both like staying in our cage, but when we do come out to play, I like a metal playstand and Naonni likes a wooden playstand. Our next favorite playstand is your shoulder!! It is always best though, to keep large birds away from your face for safety reasons.

We can be VERY loud, so we are not suitable for condo, apartment or duplex living. A single family home is the best place for us. Naonni and I LOVE lots and I do mean lots of attention. Please understand that if you do adopt us, you need to be committed to spending time with us each and every day.

Right now our diet consists of pellets, fresh fruit and veggies. Sometimes, we get a little something extra. WOW do we love pasta!

Our foster Mommy tells us that we are really enjoyable to have around. We bring smiles to her face!! When we see you we will say "Hello" then when you leave we will flap our wings and say "Bye Bye". We also say "want to eat" when we are hungry and even say "Kisses". Our foster Mommy has taught us to say "Hola". See we are smart and can learn so many new words and maybe even a few tricks.

Since we are larger birds we do need larger toys - wooden toys are the best for us. We love to chew and this helps to keep us entertained while you are not at home. If we get bored, that could lead to "trouble". You know what they say...or maybe you don't? A busy beak is a happy beak! Best for our beaks to busy on our toys, not yours! HA HA HA

Don't we sound like lots of fun? We are both so ready to find our "forever" home. If you think you have the time and love to give Naonni and I, then please fill out an adoption application.

Below is our Amazon wishlist. This is filled with food, treats, and toys that we would like. Please take a look at our list - it is just like your list to Santa - and see if you would like to surprise us with something from this wishlist. Hope to hear from you soon!
