My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Austin, Laredo and Dallas seem to have a theme going on, don't you think? We used an about-to-expire airline voucher and flew to Texas to get them and their mother from a super high kill shelter on the border, rented a car and drove the little family back to St. Louis overnight. (Rescue is very glamorous and travel opportunities abound!) Their mom, Lady, was picked up as a stray and they put her in a crate, inside a run at the shelter. She was 'vicious' when anyone approached, putting her on the list to be euthanized. Two days later they realized that she had birthed 3 puppies in the crate and was just protecting her babies from the scary shelter. You can imagine. We met the transport and, as we expected, Lady and her three week old puppies were as good as gold and glad to be on their way to a new life. DNA testing revealed that the boys are schnauzer/toy fox terrier mixes. So stinking cute, let me tell you. This is Austin. They were born on March 25, 2017 so as of the third week of July, they are 17 weeks old. Laredo and Austin weigh 9 pounds each and we expect their adult weight to be around 16 - 18 pounds. Dallas is a 6 pound guy and we expect his adult weight to be 12 - 15 pounds. All three are neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped, well wormed and on heartworm/flea preventive. Each has an adoption fee of $375. With a completed application, we will make arrangements for you to meet one or all three of these little cuties.
