My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty is our "miracle mom".
Misty came into our rescue by pure happenstance. We had been called to a local trailer park to pick up stray kittens from a feral colony, but when we arrived they were gone and Misty was there. She appeared very friendly and heavily pregnant so with the impending bad weather we made the decision to bring her into our rescue for evaluation. Just a few hours later she went into labor but was in obvious distress so we took her to the vet for an emergency C-section.
One day and 3 kittens later she was back in foster and even took on a stray kitten (Piggie) as her own!
Misty is a loving and protective mom. She is wonderful with older kids (10 and up) and women, but leery of men at first. She is very chatty and will hold an entire conversation with you. She likes to sleep at the foot of the bed all night where she can rest but keep watch for any perceived danger to you or the kittens. An avid hunter, she would be a great house or barn cat once her babies are weaned.
