LENA is absolutely everything a lab lover is looking for and more! Her sweet, fun personality is lab through and through. Little LENA adores the water! She is also an incredibly smart baby girl...she mastered sit and down at just 8 weeks old! LENA has been socialized thoroughly with both doggies and children since the day she joined Woof River. She lives in a foster home with 2 adult corgis, who she learns from daily. She loves her play dates with other dogs and puppies a great deal. LENA wants everyone around to be as happy and have as much fun as she is having. She is the absolute perfect dog for a family who is looking for a lab companion. She is moderate energy for a lab puppy, but active compared to other breeds. She will be 10 weeks old on 7/25/17. LENA is eager to please and never runs out of love to give. She brings a constant smile to her foster mom's face and is sure to fill her forever family's home with joy for many years to come!

LENA will be microchipped, and vaccinated as many times as age allows when she arrives to her forever home.
Her $300 adoption fee includes cost of transportation to Nashville after she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions ( and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

About WOOF RIVER ANIMAL RESCUE- Nashville Chapter

Our Adoption Process...

The first step is completing an adoption application. Once we have received a completed application, we will do our absolute best to process it in 5 business days or less.

If you are approved there will be an adoption contract, spay/neuter contract (if the puppy is too young to be altered at the time of adoption).

Adoption fees are $250 for the Memphis area, $300 for the Nashville area, and $450 for all other locations. The fees are the result of a base of $250 plus transport costs.

All adopters will be required to provide top notch routine care for their pet. Annual exams, vaccines, and heartworm tests along with year round heartworm and flea/tick preventative are mandatory. NO EXCEPTIONS!
