My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lexi (HWTH#17233A). She is a Siberian Husky, DOB: 9/9/16. Lexi weighs 46 pounds and stands 22 inches at the shoulders. Lexi is frightened by fireworks and showed up at the door of one of the volunteers with Halfway to Home desperately wanting to seek shelter in his house. The volunteer took her around his neighborhood but could not find Lexi's owner. She has now been relinquished to Halfway to Home so Lexi can find a new Forever home where she feels safe and secure. This is a very sweet girl who may need just a little time to adjust to her new surroundings. She will need secure yards as well as an abundance of love, good-quality human companionship, play time and a sufficient amount of exercise. Having a compatible canine companion might also be a good thing. She appears to be tolerant of cats but should be introduced slowly to be sure. When Lexi has thoroughly settled into her new environment, she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Once Lexi has bonded with her new owner, she will make a loving and entertaining canine companion. For more information on Lexi, please call Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.
