JonJon's Story...
Eight puppies were found abandoned on a country road. A man found them and brought them to the city pound. All were adopted but little JonJon. He was scheduled for euthanization. He was saved at the last minute!! Now he is in a foster home and waiting for a forever home. He is so sweet and loving and just loves to play, play, play. He loves all other cats and dogs and people. If you are looking for a great companion and addition to your family, please consider JonJon. Contact his foster mom at 580-243-8429 or e-mail pethelpers2@sbcglobal for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JonJon, a Elk City Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer for sale in Elk City, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Elk City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elk City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elk City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elk City paves the way for another one to be saved.
