Guppy!!! This baby boy is 4 months old and 4 lbs. Guppy came to us as just a wee lad. He was a bucket of crust with not one hair on his head. Seguin animal control had found him in such a sad state due to demodex mange and flea infestation. They called us and we welcomed him into our TXCR family. As you can see all of Guppy's crusts are gone and he now has many hairs upon his head. Guppy is ready for the next chapter in his life, finding his forever family! Guppy is just the right mix if crazy happy puppy and cuddle bug. He has no problem climbing baby gates :) . Guppy loves to be up close loving on his foster mom.

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Guppy, a Philadelphia Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
