Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asta is a brown and white tabby, about 2 years old and was found as a stray by a man who instantly fell in love with her. He was never a cat person; he actually had 2 dogs, but he adored her. He asked his landlord if he could keep her and even offered to pay more rent money each month. Sadly the landlord said no, and Precious Pets Almost Home stepped in.
It soon became apparent that Asta was expecting. She was placed in a home with an excellent and experienced foster, and gave birth to 5 beautiful babies in early April. Then she was given an orphan, which she gladly adopted as her own.
Asta has been a sweet, loving, and nurturing mom. In addition, she loves attention, as well as craves pets and kisses. She head butts whenever you lean into her face. Asta's foster family was in love with her, and their grown daughter wished to adopt her; but once again, that all-important landlord approval was missing. So now that her babies are ready to leave, Asta is available for adoption herself.
If you want to adopt a cat that is just happy to be with you, then she is the perfect choice for you! She has not been exposed to dogs while in our care, and it is unknown if she has ever co-existed with one. You can visit her in our adoption center in PetSmart on N. Elston in Chicago.
