Cindee's Story...
Did you know that Cindee is a Greek name that means moon? Well, it does. And I’m a little moonbeam who will light your life, guide your tides, and lead you home to a loving world of peace and companionship. I’m pretty, a perfect size to fit in any lap, and sweet as could be. I love the gentle affection of respectful children and do well with both dogs and cats. I’m affectionate, eager to please, and curious about learning new things. So how about it? Invite this precious little moonbeam home? 8 months old-6lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cindee, a Portland Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
