Gorgonzola & Gazpacho's Story...
Gorgonzola and Gazpacho are brothers from the same litter, born March 2012. Gorgonzola is a bit overweight due to low activity. He doesn't like other cats or dogs at first, but has never attacked, just hisses & avoids them until he grows to tolerate them. Neither cat has bitten or scratched our small children or anyone, & Gazpacho particularly loves the children's attention. Gazpacho isn't overweight at all, & is particularly loving. We've only gotten them out to our back patio and fenced yard since 7-6-17. They prefer the indoors, but have adjusted well to the patio. Gazpacho may hiss at a new cat or dog, but warms up to being their friend within a week. They have had a recent check up, brought UTD on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, & will each come with a five month supply of Advantage & other supplies. We recently adopted a dog from a high kill shelter, but has tried to get the cats. I'm certain he'll be put down if we take him back, & now the cats are stuck alone on the patio.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gorgonzola & Gazpacho, a North Augusta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Augusta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
