Facts about Oscar—Foster or Adopt!

  • Breed: Norwegian Forest Cat
  • Color: Orange Or Red
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Medium
Oscar is a laid back 9 year old Norwegian forest cat mix. He is a beautiful HUGE orange guy. Oscar needs a new home due to children in his home developing allergies.

Oscar is a very sweet friendly guy who loves to talk. He is litterbox trained, and has spent almost his whole life inside. Oscar family has young kids, and due to that he has been outside some, with doors opening.

The rescue is looking for a home for Oscar without young kids, as for his safety we would like indoor only situation. Oscar has grown up his whole life with a boxer mix, and does fine with dogs who are gentle with cats.

Oscar really seeks attention, so someone who has a home office or is around a lot and wants an affectionate cat, would be awesome. He has shown some dominance with the next door neighbor cat, but if he is put with the right cat, the rescue thinks he would do fine, after he adjusts.

Oscar is neutered, micro chipped, and the rescue will be taking him in for booster shots, a combo test, and exam prior to adoption. His adoption fee covers the listed vet-care.

Oscar is currently in the Kirkland area. Please email connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an application to adopt this adorable, fluffy, goofy guy!

About Red Waggin' Rescue - Kirkland Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Red Waggin' Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 that grew out of Connell Pet Rescue. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers that do this part-time and unpaid.

The City of Connell is located in Eastern Washington, and since it is a small city, it has no animal control, no proper animal shelter, and no pet rescue services. Red Waggin' Rescue is fully staffed by part-time volunteers to help the City of Connell Police Department rescue, provide vet care for, and find new forever homes for homeless dogs and other animals from Connell, WA and the surrounding areas. Our volunteers and foster homes are active in both Eastern Washington and the Puget Sound areas.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Although there is a small holding area managed by the City of Connell Police Department, Red Waggin' Rescue/Connell Pet Rescue has no permanent shelter facility.

Our animals stay in foster homes while they await their new homes, that are found in Eastern Washington and all the way to the Puget Sound area.

Generally, if an approved adopter is interested in another part of Washington State, transport can be arranged and runs roughly every other weekend.

Our Adoption Process...

Email Connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application form.

If you are interested to make one of our animals your new family member, please email connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an application form, which you may fill out and email back to us.

Please allow a few days for a response, as we are only part-time volunteers. We require a completed application in order to meet a pet.

Once approved, if you meet a pet and all agree it is a good match: a volunteer will do a home visit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and begin the approval period. Generally, adoption fees are $250–$350 for dogs and $50–$150 for cats, and include spaying/neutering, basic vaccines, and microchipping, all required by our rescue.

All of our adoptions include a 7-day money-back approval period. After 7 days, a pet must still be returned to our rescue but adoption fees are not refunded.
