Pippin-ADOPTED!!!'s Story...

Meet PIPPIN...this pretty lady was rescued from the Dinwiddie pound.  She is approx. 2 years old and 40lbs.  Pippin has a beautiful red/golden coat and is just simply a 'looker'.  She has a easy-going personality with a silly, goofy side to make you smile.  Pippin seems to love people of all ages and does well with other animals.  A fenced yard to keep this girl safe while she plays would be best.  Pippin is spayed, current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  Our online application can be found at http://members.petfinder.org/~VA231/Adoptions/Application.htm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pippin-ADOPTED!!!, a Ashland Setter (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Setter (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Setter (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Setter (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Setter (Unknown Type)/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
