Sassy-ADOPTED!!!'s Story...

Meet SASSY...this little beagle girl was rescued from the Caroline County Pound.  She came into the pound weighing less then 10lbs and hair loss due to malnutrition.  Sassy is approx. 6-7 years old and a healthy 20lbs at this time.  A couple more pounds wouldn't hurt her but she has regained all her hair and is doing great.  Sassy's new hair growth came in white making her look much older then she truly is.  She has an absolutely wonderful, happy personality and we here at the rescue find her delightful!  Sassy is housebroken for the most part once a regular routine is established.  She does well in a crate and is good on leash.  Sassy does great with other animals and people of all ages.  She is spayed, current on shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and had a dental done recently.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassy-ADOPTED!!!, a Ashland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
