Aiden-ADOPTED!!!'s Story...

Meet AIDEN...this schnauzer/possible dachshund mix was transferred to the rescue from a TN rescue.  He is approx. 2 years old and 20lbs.  Aiden is a social sweetheart who loves people and does well with other dogs. Lots of personality and just looking for love!  He would do best in a home without small toddler children.  Aiden will require routine grooming (his last photo shows him totally shaved down) and is housebroken & cratetrained.  Aiden is neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.   Our online application can be found at www.hhk-9rescue.org by clicking the adoptions button at the top of the page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aiden-ADOPTED!!!, a Ashland Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
