Meet handsome, happy Hudson. He and a companion, Willie, came to ESRA when their family moved and couldn't take them along. Hudson has lived in harmony with both dogs and cats. He also lived with children and is friendly with them.
This easygoing, housetrained boy is a former 4-H dog and is an easy keeper. He loves to carry a big stuffed toy in his mouth once he gets comfortable with his surroundings. When his foster family is away at work during the day, Hudson has free rein of the house, and he usually sleeps. He won't even get on the furniture.
Hudson's foster mom describes him as a "clingon." He loves to follow her around the house and be near her. His most endearing quality is that he likes to put his head in between people's legs for scratches. He loves to be brushed, and he doesn't mind having his nails clipped or his ears cleaned.
His foster family is helping Hudson lose some weight. He is starting to slim down, and he now has about fifteen pounds to go before he's at his ideal size.
This boy is just right in every sense, and he will make a fine companion for some lucky adopter. If you'd like more information about Hudson, please contact his case managers at the e-mail address below. He's eager to meet you!
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Hudson.
