WEIGHT: About 15 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Great with other dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Loves people and will be great in a family

Meet KLH's newest kritter looking for a home, Skye, a beautiful, fun loving, cheerful gal. Skye is approximately 4-5 years old, weighs 15 pounds, and is in great health. Skye came to us after a friend of a friend lost his home in a housefire. He thought he had a home for Skye but it fell thru. Skye is an absolute love bug and loves everyone she meets. She really enjoys playing with the other foster dogs in her home, both big and small. She is not a big barker, she uses the doggie door, is housebroken, and crate trained. She is also a wonderful couch/companion. She will require grooming as we think she is a schnauzer/poodle mix. She does not shed and her coat is straight and soft but does tangle. She is spayed, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. A vet reference check and home visit are required for adoption. If you are interested in Skye, please send an email to for an application. Her adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skye, a Dallas Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
