August's Story...
They say big things come in small packages and that's true for August! This little guy is about 6 years old and 17 pounds. He is full of personality and bounces around the yard so happily and full of life. August gets along great with other dogs and is happy to chase the ball around. Don't let the funky little mustache fool you he had been outside playing and dunked his face in the kiddie pool so he was a little wet! August is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add August to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

August, a Southington Jack Russell Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Southington, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
