My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reighner.  Reighner is a female 4-5 year old traditionally marked
purebred Border Collie.  She came into rescue with her gal pal Roxy.  We do
not feel they are sisters, but there is a possibility that they could be
mother and daughter.  These gals adore one another.  They do not have to be
placed together, but if you are looking to adopt 2, then consider Reighner
and Roxy.  As a pair, they are both pretty easy going.  Both Reighner and
Roxy are very sweet and affectionate, as they vie for your attention.  These
gals are BFF material and would like nothing better than to forge a close
bond with you.

Reighner likes to play ball, while Roxy will run alongside of her.  She
walks well on a leash, and does not potty in her kennel at night.  So, if
she is not totally housebroken, then there will be no trouble completing her
training on this.  We are working on her obedience, but being a Border
Collie, this won't take long.  When we spayed Reighner, we had a dental done
on her, so her teeth are sparkling.  One major tooth had to be extracted.
Those vet records are available from our vet.  Reighner has not been
evaluated with cats or children.

The desired home would be one who has Border Collie or herding breed
experience.  Consistent daily exercise is a must.  It is also important to
provide clear and concise direction along with mental stimulation. For those
who understand Border Collies, with their quirks and idiosyncrasies, then
Reighner is pretty easy going and is not hyperactive.  Again, Reighner and
Roxy do not need to be placed with one another, but preference will be given
to those applicants who will consider adopting both of them.

If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption
application.  We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any
meet and greets are scheduled.  The electronic application can be found on
our website at
